B E – ADXL345 Digital Output Tilt Sensor Accelerometer Module for Tilt Sensing – STSx0415

The ADXL345 is a small, low-power, 3-axis accelerometer with high-resolution 13-bit measurement at up to 16g. Its digital output data is formatted as 16-bit two’s complement and is accessible through either a SPI (3- or 4-wire) or I2C digital interface. This sensor is highly versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications, such as tilt detection, motion sensing, shock detection, and portable devices. It features several special sensing functions like activity/inactivity sensing, tap/double tap detection, and free-fall detection, making it an ideal component for embedded systems and consumer electronics. Designed with power efficiency in mind, the ADXL345 can operate with an extremely low power consumption of just 40µA in measurement mode, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. The built-in FIFO buffer reduces system power consumption by offloading data collection. Its small form factor allows it to fit into compact devices, and it can operate in both sleep and auto-sleep modes for additional power savings.
