Description

The ICM7224IPL is a 4½ digit LCD Display Controller IC designed for precise digital counting, decoding, and driving applications. It directly interfaces with non-multiplexed liquid crystal displays (LCDs), featuring integrated segment decoders, leading zero blanking, store and reset inputs, and a carry output for cascading multiple ICs to handle more than 4½ digit displays. This IC operates with a low power supply current, making it ideal for battery-operated devices and other low-power applications. It supports a wide operating voltage range from 3V to 5V and is capable of counting frequencies up to 25 MHz, making it suitable for use in frequency counters, tachometers, hour meters, and totalizers.
