This Xbee shield should be used with other wireless modules to realize wireless functions like WiFi, Bluetooth, etc., and it doesnt have wireless capability itself. This low-power Xbee shield for Arduino allows you to add wireless capability to your Arduino projects using Xbee radios more easily and cost-effectively! The shield is easy to use and offers reliable transmission of critical data between devices. It can be directly stacked on top of Arduino Uno / Leonardo and Mega. Besides, the shield provides a 5-3.3V voltage converter to allow 3.3V communication modules to interface Arduino 5V system.
