At its core, the UPS 12-5400 PLP utilises C&D’s proprietary Pure Lead Paste technology combined with Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) construction to achieve outstanding high-rate and stable discharge performance across short runtime scenarios. The C&D Long-Life Alloy with ultra-low calcium levels minimises grid growth, reduces gassing, and significantly extends operational life compared to conventional VRLA designs. Gas recombination efficiency of up to 99% eliminates the need for electrolyte maintenance throughout the battery’s service life.

The UL Recognised flame-arresting vents in each cell provide an additional layer of safety during overcharge events, while the thermally welded and helium leak-tested case-to-cover bond ensures a robust, permanent leak-proof seal. The flame-retardant polypropylene case and cover, compliant with UL94 V-0, complete a safety-first design that meets the same recombination, thermal runaway prevention, and flame-retardant characteristics as Bellcore 4228-compliant Dynasty Telecom products.
