Hoyles Mains rated relay kit. This kit is designed for switching a 240vac mains load of up to 5A operated by a 12vdc or 24vdc input from an intruder for fire alarm system depending on version. The relay coil is rated at 35mA. Two white plastic single gang enclosures are provided for segregation of the alarm system and the mains connections. The first enclosure is tampered and contains a relay with single pole change over contacts rated 5A at 240vac or 12/24vdc. The relay coil requires 12vdc or 24vdc, depending on version, to operate. An LED is also provided which illuminates when the relay is energised. The tamper switch is normally closed and opens when the face plate is removed from the wall. The second enclosure is purely a junction box which provides a replication of the SPCO contacts. An earth terminal is also provided for convenient termination of an in coming mains cable. As the enclosures are all plastic, no earth connection is required. A loop of cable is provided within the kit to connect the two enclosures together.
